New submission

Digital Medievalist publishes announcements and news items of interest to its members, medievalists who use digital technology in their research and other Digital Humanists. Suitable items include calls for papers, conference, publication, and workshop announcements, vacancies, fellowships, and grant programmes. All submissions are subject to moderation by the DM board or its delegates.

Tips

Title

Choose a descriptive title for your announcement. News aggregators sometimes list items by title only, so your title should indicate what your item is about (e.g. "Digital Humanities Vacancy -- Kings College London"). Your title may only contain plain text. No layout, markup, or links are allowed. This is a required field.

Summary

Give your news item a short summary. This summary will usually be used instead of the actual content in lists of news items (as, for example, at DM). Your summary should be attractive, descriptive, and short. If you can't think of something, cut and paste the first paragraph of your content here. Your summary is limited to 500 characters. This is a required field.

Content

This is the body of your announcement. Basic html markup is allowed: e.g. <p>, <ol>, <ul>, <li>, <b>, <i>, <a>, <br/>. With the exception of <a>, these elements may not have any attributes (e.g. style=; on <a>, only href will be accepted). You can also use wiki-style markup *text* for bold, _text_ for italic. URLs beginning http:// or ftp:// and email addresses beginning mailto: (e.g. mailto:spam@example.com) are converted automatically to links. This is a required field.
